Will Pantone colours look the same if printed digitally?

Pantone produce single colour inks, that are mixed to a formula for specific colours, known as ‘spot colours’ a single colour is applied to one roller on a litho press. A digital press uses CMYK, as do litho presses. Although rather than ink a digital press uses toner. Pantone solid (spot) colours cannot be reproduced exactly
using CMYK inks or toners. Luminous orange, gold or silver
are also not a CMYK option.
